Course Description: 

This one hour course will provide a clinician understanding of how to using sensory projects with children can help build a relationship with their therapist, enhance their treatment progress, and build the brain stem and mid-brain regions of the brain that are typically underdeveloped with traumatized and poorly attached children. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Attendees will learn basic brain region language and Dr. Bruce Perry's brain mapping as well as how to reach those regions through sensory play

2. Attendees will learn 3 ways to document the use of sensory play in therapy

3. Attendees will learn 3 sensory play interventions and take home interventions to integrate into their practice

1 CEU - pending approval from Social work, professional counselor, and marriage and family therapy boards
